Well, the program was terrible (and dumb), but many of the winners were good.  Yay, Dinklage.  Yay, Katims.  Yah, Chandler. Yay, Maggie Smith.  Yay, Downton Abbey.

ETA: And WTF did they do to David Boreanaz's hair?  I mean, bad enough to have that ridiculous hair cut, but to wear it in PUBLIC?!   Holy cow, if Angel wore his hair like that, Spike would never let him hear the end of it.  Ever.  Yick!

I was happy she won too. The only one I was "huh?" on was the Mike and Molly girl, though to be fair... I haven't watched the show so I can't honestly say.

Glad to see they got a couple things in the drama category right . . . couldn't care less about the comedy winners. Modern Family's good but not that good.

I like Modern Family, though it probably is a bit much that it won everything. That said, with what it was against, I was okay with that. That said, Community was robbed having no nominations. And I would've preferred more nominations for Raising Hope.

Community was robbed. It's almost too much of a cult show for the academy to look at it. I was pleased for Kyle Chandler and Peter Dinklage, though, and at least Modern Family beat out Glee, which rightly didn't get any of the big prizes this year.

I must have missed David B's appearance. I stopped watching after they did the Leonard Cohen Halleugha for the Memorial...speaking of, how many times now has TV used that song? (And if you listen closely to the lyrics you realize it's really not about what they use it for.)

Otherwise agree. My only quibble was Mad Men wins best drama, again? It's good, but not that good - drug in the middle. I'd have given it to Game or
Friday Night Lights.

That's a picture of it, but it looked worse on stage. On stage it looked like the part had been shaved into his hair and that the hair near it had been glued down flat and cut Three Stooges short-short bowl style, plastered down, and shaved beneath it. It was fug.

And I was rather blah on Mad Men winning. Although the episode submitted (the suitcase) was actually a good episode. It was just sooooo long ago, and rather predictable.

Just clicked on the link - thanks. You're right, that is an unflattering haircut, and possibly the worst that I've seen. He looks horrible.

Also agreed on Mad Men - (I admittedly haven't seen Boardwalk Empire) but everything else nominated, the Good Wife, Friday Night Lights and Game were far better. At least the Suitcase episode lost to FNL's.
