Oh thank GOD. Everyone was saying it was going to be that cretin Karen Gillan, which would have made my head explode. Now with Gwen from Downton Abbey in the role I might be able to fixate on her and not the lox playing Jon Snow. At least I know she'll be good. ::whew::

The only real issue I have with Gillan is that Moffat seems to have a producer-crush on her... and it's reflected in the writing.

I do like Gwen from Downton, and she does look much like the part.

I also saw a YouTube clip of someone interviewing Maisie Williams and she's chopped off all her hair for Arya... but the haircut (in real life) is quite cute. Both she and the girl playing Sansa look older than they used to.
