Unless Stanford loses or Arkansas beats LSU, there goes any chance of any sort of championship (SEC or other).

Oh well, hopefully we beat Auburn (so speaks the traitorous Auburn alum).

Worse, TRAFFIC WAS INSANE!

Yeah, the stadium seats 102,000 and then at least 20,000 more tailgating outside the gates, so it was more nuts than I've ever seen it (especially since we were playing LSU at 7pm. LSU fans have a rep of imbibing...er... a 'lot.')

So the game ended at 10:45pm and we didn't make it out of the PARKING DECK until 12:30am. And couldn't make it out of Tuscaloosa proper until 2am.

I crawled into bed at 3am, and I plan to be a slug today.

Thank goodness for daylights saving time.

Hope you had a comfortable lie-in (and my husband says your coach was to blame - don't hit us! - and that Oregon will beat Stanford next week, so take heart (I have no idea what this means)).

It's definitely a religion. We don't say "Trust in Saban" for no reason at all, y'know. ;)

As to why we lost, there were a bunch of things. It happens. If things had broken our way, we would've won. When they break the other, we didn't. So go games.

We got home at 3am. Katy, from my office, said she got home at 4am.

A helicopter would've been nice. But where would they have landed it? There weren't many areas not covered by people!

Tide only fell to #3 (though barely). As long as they massacre everyone else, there's an outside chance they can make it to the title game.

I worry about a let-down trap game with Mississippi State this week. I think we'll probably be down and it could hurt us. I don't worry about the next game because it's a powder-puff. Revenge will be motivation enough for Auburn. Alabama/Auburn is yearly war. :)
