Harry Morgan, the actor otherwise known as M*A*S*H‘s Colonel Potter, has passed away, according to The New York Times. Morgan, who died in his Los Angeles home, was 96 years old

It's one of those things that's sad and yet... wow, that really is quite a life!!

I must admit, he's also one of those actors, like Abe Vigoda, that I thought had passed away years ago. I swear, one of these days Abe Vigoda will actually pass away and no one will believe it!

Yeah, when the had the M*A*S*H reunion special a couple of years ago, I was surprised that he was still around (and still quite spry).

And, yeah, what a life.

Wow he was an awesome actor, I loved him on Dragnet and in the movie The Apple Dumpling Gang. Those really bring back some childhood memories.

I heard it this afternoon on the CBS Evening News. So sad, and yet, such an amazing, joyous life -- he always seemed like someone that would be great to just hang out with and talk to. Astounding character actor, even before Colonel Potter came along.
