So I gather that LJ did its changeover thingie.
Reading it seems that viewing things in your own customized style avoids those changes (at least so far). Mine has been customized for forever, and thus far everything looks the same as always. (Frankly, I'm having more problems with the IE8/9 update and its interaction with LJ... which is just plain screwy.*)
* I use Chrome at home but I can't see doing that at work.
**ETA: From
alwaysjbj. If you have a paid account/use s2 style you can go to Journal > Journal Style > Customize theme and click "no" on "Disable customized comment pages for your journal".

Date: 2011-12-21 09:52 pm (UTC)It annoyed me at first, but that was because the icons are in the order you upload them rather than anything sensible - but then I realise you can simply search by name and it is just as quick as scanning down the 140+ in a list anyway... so I've stopped worrying about it.

I read everyone's journals and the comments in my own style. (Otherwise I'd go blind, since 90% of my flist uses a black, dark blue, or red background and white print.)
I'd suggest using Mozilla Firefox...but it has its own issues, albeit it is a lot better than IE8 and
Safari. Haven't tried Chrome. (Work is IE8 and home is Firefox, while ipod is Safari.)
