* So it's back to work and impossible deadline tomorrow.

* Did crafty stuff this morning.

* Then I cried for a very long time. I was quite stoic over kitty's diagnosis. I thought I was pragmatic. I didn't think I was in denial, but a phone call with my sister brought home the inevitability of the decision I'll have to make and how abruptly and possibly soon I'll have to make it. And I broke down in tears. (Please don't respond to this part of the post. I'll cry again. And...I just don't want to deal anymore right now).

* Much football was watched. Go SEC (and I'm sorry, Georgia, but what the hell were you thinking?)

* Saw that new Buffy Comic half cover (noting that half of it is whited out, so clearly there's more to the story. DH just wants to watch fans have a hissy-fit. Frankly, I'm in a state of ennui. Either it's a fake-out or it's pure comic book stuff, meaning it'll either be okay or result in something that made DH and Joss think 'cool.' (I'm not vouching for their taste, just saying it will probably result in comic book superpowers).

* Depressed. I've had my kitty for nineteen years. I just... (I've got to stop talkingbabout it. It's not helping. I have another vet appointment for a follow-up on Wednesday. Sis said she'd go with me. Since she's a doctor I thought she'd have a more clear idea of the prognosis and what measures are worth taking versus... I don't want to think about it now.)

Meh. Nothing else in the comics has had lasting consequences... why should Buffy losing an arm? These "spoilers" are never what they seem when they're leaked.

And, thanks. She's holding her own for now. I went back to the vet for her second test, the phosphorus is down so she at least feels better even if it's only treating the symptoms.

She's holding her own for now. I wish she'd eat more, but I realize she's the equivalent of a 120. Her second blood test showed that the treatment has lowered her phosperous so she's feeling better even though that's only treating the symptoms. Still, she at least feels okay now.

Caring for pets is rewarding and I love my pets so much, but there's times when it's just so heartwrenching, too. I'm glad she's feeling okay now. And *more hugs* for you because it's hard.

The arm thing made me laugh. It reminded me of a Japanese comic series that had run itself dead and since there was no way to shock any more the author decided to cripple her heroes. By the end of it one guy was in a wheelchair and his lover had only one arm and was missing a few other things. Very dramatic...

I tend to think that Joss lost much that was meaningful to say about Buffy a while ago. Now he's making other sorts of statements though, frankly, I think the predominant statement is "Nyeh! Nyeh! Nyeh!"

Thanks. The IVs have lowered her blood phosperous so she's feeling better now, though of course that's only treating the symptoms. There's no cure for the underlying illness. But at least she's feeling better so the plan is to give her as good a quality of life as I can for as long as I can.

The subcutaneous fluids did lower her phosperous number so she at least feels better now. The aim is to give her as give her help as long as she has good quality of life.
