Why is it that every fan theory for 'what's up for Buffy in the comics' is more disturbing than the last one?

Yeah I know what you mean. I mean early menopause? Really?

Are they trying to relate it back to the pregnancy scare/not really a pregnancy scare? Or are the fanboys assuming that menopause would be a punishment for Buffy not settling down to do "feminine" pursuits, like getting married *cough*to-average-joe-beta-male-Xander(who is totally not supposed to be a stand-in for themselves)*cough*, having children, and being barefoot in the kitchen?

God only knows. Every theory seems more insane and distasteful from the last. I bet DH are just eating this up.

I'm sure they are. Scott Allie truly believes in negative attention being the best thing for DH, which is a shame. They used to be indie, used to be innovative, and now they're just this sad, tired entity that would rather release twelve issues of a crap series, drop it, and then just release another crap series right after (rinse, lather, audience vomits, repeat), than actually producing quality material. I mean, Hellboy was all they had going for them, and now they're even screwing that up. It's really a damned shame, but I wish they'd just drop out of sight and just let IDW step up (their Lock & Key and Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse series are just great). But IDW would just fall into the same trappings too. The only ones that get away from it are the Big Two- Marvel and DC- and that's just because they can afford to have a zillion titles, so if one fails, it's not as big of a deal. Sigh. I miss enjoying comics. *re-reads Spike: Asylum for the quadrillionth time).

Beats me what they thought process is, but that's now found its way into the discussion.

Clearly Slaying uses up all of your Female Power, which would normally be used to have children, so...

I know nothing beyond what I'm reading in this post, lol, but I'm going with it.

...

Onset menopause in your mid-twenties? That's one helluva game changer.

I know!

I mean, WTF.

And I would question the obsession with her reproduction system... but then Whedon keeps using those metaphors so...
