1. Who was your FIRST prom date?
Phillip. He was two years older than I was and quite gay. But I knew it. I was the head of the prom decorating committee but I had no boyfriend. And no one I particularly wanted to go with, so I asked Phillip to go with me because he liked to dance and was fun at parties. So I was well aware that my prom date was gay but didn't care. We had fun.
2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
Holy cow. No. I don't think I've spoken to him since high school.
3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
Other than accidentally drinking part of one of dad's beers at the beach because I was dying of thirst and I (wrongly) thought the can was a Coke (this incident did not end well). I really don't remember. I'm thinking it was when my sister was living in Mobile and she allowed me to taste a pina colada. That would've been when I was maybe 14...? I honestly don't remember.
4. What was your FIRST job?
My mother ran an interior design business and I helped out from time to time, but I don't think intermittently doing stuff there was a really 'official' job. So probably when I was working at Victoria's Secret over Summer break during college.
5. What was your FIRST car?
1985 Chevy Celebrity. White.
6. Who was the FIRST person to text you today?
No texts.
8. Who was your FIRST grade teacher, tell us about them?
Mrs. Jackson. Her husband was the high school band director and they had children a few years younger than I was. My parents would visit them some when I was little.
9. Where did you go on your FIRST airplane ride?
When I turned 16 my sister and her husband gave me a ticket to Houston to visit them on my birthday.
10. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?
It's rather fluid, I think because there was overlap. I had one friend named Darnell, but she was older than I was and I'm not sure what happened to her. They must've moved. I had another friend Anne B----, but she definitely moved when I was kindergarten. So the one that 'stuck' as it were was Susan A---. I have pictures of her coming to my birthday party when I was three. We lived a few houses apart. We were cheerleaders together in high school and roomates for the first couple of years of college. We grew apart when she became uber, uber, UBER religious. As an example, I remember the day she announced that she had thrown out all of her 'secular' music and bit exaperated at the waste thinking that she at least could've thrown the CDs at me. I wasn't 'churchy.' I also remember laughing when she told me that she wanted to to the theater to protest against "The Last Temptation of Christ".
We still talk on some holidays. Her husband is a music minister at some church in New England and she home schools her kids... which I find vaguely discomfitting as I remember her as the girl who would sleep through all her classes in college (by which I mean, she wouldn't climb out of bed and go to said classes.)
11. Where was your FIRST sleep over?
No clue. I'm guessing probably at my grandmother's.
13. Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time?
A cousin of mine. You should've seen the dress. It was spectacularly hideous.
14. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
Bathroom break for me... then bathroom break for the dog.
15. What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
Ha. Mom and Dad took us to John Denver. I think I was seven.
16. FIRST tattoo?
Never had one.
17. FIRST piercing?
My sister bought me earrings for... I don't remember which birthday. But she was in college or med school (and she's 12 nearly 13 years older than myself). She came home over spring break and I still hadn't had my ears pierced, so she sterilized a needle, sat on me, and pierced my ears herself.
Sisters. LOL!
This is why the pierce through one of my ears is slightly crooked. I think I was screaming bloody murder at the time. :)
18. FIRST foreign country you went to?
Does Bermuda count? Senior trip was a cruise.
19. FIRST movie you remember seeing?
Again, no clue. Aristocats or Dumbo maybe? I don't know. It would've been Disney.
20. When was your FIRST detention?
I never had detention. I was a relentlessly boring 'good girl' without a rebellious streak.
22. Who was your FIRST roommate?
If we aren't talking camp (any of them... which means that I have no clue), I would say it was "The Other Lisa" (as opposed to myself.) We were assigned roomates freshmen year in college and she was a mess. I could deal with the fact that she was stringing along multiple boyfriends at once, but when she started emotionally blackmailing her biological father that she had never met until our freshman year, I really had had it with her. (She sought him out. Her parents had never been married. She'd never had a relationship with him. He was married to someone else. She admitted that the only reason she searched for him was for money. I felt really sorry for the guy because until the emotional blackmail became really obvious, he had actually wanted to have a relationship with her. The Other Lisa was a piece of work).
23. If you had one wish. What would it be?
Better economy, less racism, peace, more compassion, the whole bit.
24. What is something you would learn if you had the chance?
Spanish
25. Did you marry the FIRST person to ask for your hand in marriage?
Never been married.
26. What was the first sport that you were involved in?
Gymnastics
27. What were the first lessons you ever took?
Same as above, I think. If not, it would be ballet.

let the puppy out and then change clothes.
