He's more stable than Damon, IMO. Granted, that says NOTHING. He's like the teeny tiniest isty bitsy bit more stable. But he presents a picture of stability, even if it's a lie.
Edited again: Actually, I think that's the problem. All these people that are so "STEFAN'S BETTER" seem to be stuck on S1 Stefan, where he was the good vampire and the perfect boyfriend, and can't seem to see all the really bad stuff he's done lately, some of it TO Elena. Because Stefan did seem perfect, once upon a time. And Stefan wants to be perfect. Damon doesn't.
