I MISS OBSESSIVE FANDOM!

I MISS SPIKE!

What's so good about obsessive fandom (and Spike love) is that it gave something to obsess over other than my own life (er... huh... that means I feel a need to obsess over something doesn't it? I don't know if that's a good thing. Hmm).

But, yeah, fandom, BtVS, AtS, whatever gives something frivolous and inconsequential in the larger scheme of things to still care about passionately and it still all be harmless. It's such a wonderful distraction from real life.

See, though, it was something totally unrelated to me so all the drama (and I'm including fandom in that) is essentially meaningless and so whatever happened it would be okay.

Real life? No. Things matter. I miss caring enough about fandom that I could be totally involved with it and have a complete distraction from real life.

Of course what this is a sign of is how completely stressed out I am in real life these days.
