"Lost" and "Nip/Tuck"

shipperxThought the premiere was good... then again, I always thought that the premise packed enough drama for a good premiere. The question will be whether they can sustain the story without becoming silly. I hope they do. I desperately need a "new show."

Was last night's ep recitivism or what? Matt still ends up in the icky relationship with the child molester. Sean is gravitating to Julia. Christian is boinking Sean's girlfriend (who claims to "love" Sean more.) So everyone went back to their old tricks. Though I have to say, I rather liked the Christian/Natasha scene.
I thought he was quite honest and that he really DID break up with Natasha because she's "too good" for him... but he wasn't doing so in any self sacrificing, noble way. He's serious. She's "too good" for him.
While watching BtVS I'd always be offended by people who said they didn't want Spike redeemed, but the truth is, I don't want Cristian redeemed! For one thing, I don't think he needs to be. He's an asshole. He's supposed to be an asshole. He's supposed to fuck any good looking woman who walks into the room and do so without remorse. Cristian ISN'T Spike... who had that romantic/noble streak in him. I like Cristian as an asshole... but a HUMAN asshole. He isn't uniformly bad. He's not evil. He does have his moments of compassion (those are fine), but he's supposed to remain a fucking asshole/man-ho. That's who he is. :) So while Natasha was nice... he was right to break up with her. She was "too good" for him. (Though, he's stupid if he thinks he can hook back up with Kimber and her not eventually try to cut off his dick).
