So, um-kay, a Rabbit Hole post. . .

Buffy is the bestest female icon EVAH! She so rocks. She was just way too good for Spike. She was just so generous, gentle, and kind. I want to be just like her! Maybe I could hook up with some awesome guy like The Immortal although secretly I'd hold on to my love for Angel 4 Eva! I mean, it's like... like DESTINY!!! OMG! Couldn't you just see the twu wuv 4 eva reflected in the claddagh ring in their eyes! It's all because of SMG's truly awesome acting. She should have Emmys and Oscars. She is just the best, nicest, sweetest, most generous actress ever. She's SOOOOO expressive!!! And she does NOT have an eating disorder. Why, I think she should lose at least 10lbs.

Oh, and Marti Noxon was just such a kick-ass awesome writer and producer (only writer who could possibly compete with her is James Reilly, because Reilly rocks. He made Days of Our Lives the best soap there is... like EVER!) And Joss? Joss is a GENIUS! The man can freaking do no wrong! And anyone who dares to criticize him and say he is not a freaking genius? You suck!

And Lost... I am SO a Jack/Kate shipper! They have have that same claddagh ring true love forever longing gaze of luuuurrrveee. They're destined. DESTINED, I tell you!!! The chemistry just sizzles! And anyone that doesn't agree is a woman hating misogynist engaged in classist warfare in Southern California, so nyeh!

BTW -- Farscape sucked. And in the future I will post about nothing but politics 24/7.

Speaking of reality, I really (in a non-Rabbit hole way) am enjoying the reality show "Project Runway." I just had to hee at the Parson's School guy telling them to stop backstabbing and mindgame playing. Try to be the best darn designer they can be to WIN not to try strategize to be the person not eliminated. How refreshing for a "reality" series.

Admittedly the entire process is kind of a nostalgia trip for me as it's rather similar to my design studio classes in Architecture School. The last nights, frantic designing, complete frustration, and the occasional disastrous project. I also got a good laugh at their brainstorming to think up design bullshit for the presentation of the designs. Oh, man, they dragged out the CLASSICS! Deconstructivism? Oh, yeah, the hallmark of desperate, fast design. Nature? Yep. There too. On the one hand, I laughed along with Wendy who was flabbergasted by the meaningless design-speak bullshit. On the other hand, I have to wonder what her background is. Because, truthfully, she should KNOW that kind of meaningless design-speak bullshit. It's indoctrinated into any student of design, or art. I mean, I was agreeing with Jay and Kara. Yeah, it's bullshit. But it's the expected bullshit and they had better be ready to pull it out fluently for the judges or THAT will be found lacking. It's just the way these things work.

However, I've also pretty much concluded that Wendy has completely deluded herself that she's in the top three. She's decided that Kara and Austin are the best designers and her goal is to be number three. Um, Wendy, I think you're forgetting Jay.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that these judges really are like ice skating judges. They aren't judging on one outfit or another. They're judging on overall HISTORY during the entire show. I was amused by Austin pointing out that whatever the Parson's School guy said to them back stage WOULD come up when they faced the judges. If you read his commentary on the Bravo board, yeah, the Design School guy knows exactly what's going on and is very opinionated. I think I'll give very heavy odds on the three getting their own runway show are Kara, Austin, and Jay. And (unlike Wendy) I believe the weak link in that trio isn't Jay. It's Austin. Austin doesn't have much range. Kara and Jay do. However, overall, those three are the best designers which is why I'm not really complaining that the judges are much like Ice Skating judges who are judging on things other than just one ep at a time. Still, I'll be SHOCKED if Robert or Wendy make it into the final three. And if one of the top three is ousted, it'll be Austin.

Still, as limited as Austin is in his palette, I would be interested in seeing his collection (if not necessarily buying it). I think he could be quite Oscar de le Renta. It would be very pretty, I'm sure.

Still all in all, I think Kara and Jay have more versatility.

As for the outfits of the week. Eh. They almost entirely sucked. But then, what do you expect with ye old deconstructivism as futurism design motif?
