So Eko's a priest who isn't really a priest. Hmm... I'll have to think on that one for a while before I decide whether or not I like it. I do like the actor a great deal. He's capable of being soulful and dangerous, and those who know me, know that I'm a sucker for a character with this ability.
I read the theory that Michael is communicating telepathically with Walt and that's why the screen was blank when Jack looked at it. Works for me.
And is the smoke the same monster that's been around all along? I can't think of anything contradicting it being the black smoke creature (which... isn't it first cousin to the water creature in The Abyss?) But it is a bit of a letdown from a Tyrannasar.
And what in the hell is Charlie going to do with THAT much smack? O.D.?
PROJECT RUNWAY Thoughts
I'm so glad Daniel V and Andrae won. Andrae, total and complete drama queen that he was in the beginning is beginning to grow on me. He was totally cute when he hopped over to Daniel V's side when it came time to pick partners. And Daniel V was totally endearing when during Kara's total meltdown, he walked over and quietly kissed her on the cheek. Aw. As for Andrae and Daniel's outfit, I wouldn't wear it, and I'm not at all convinced of a silk chamuese dress as work wear, but they nailed the Banana Repubilc aesthetic, so go them! Plus, heh, this gives Daniel as many wins as Santino and that's sweet.
Emmet's and Chloe's dress looked too upscale and older socialite to me. Well made and deserving of second place, but I while I wouldn't wear the Daniel/Andrae dress because it looks too young, I wouldn't wear Chloe and Emmett's dress because it looks like middle aged 5th Avenue to me. Still, yay them for beating out Santino.
Kara/Zulema. I liked the dress. Hated the jacket. And I don't think either of them were looking a gift horse in the mouth. Nice save when they realized their first design sucked.
Santino and Nick. I felt sorry for Nick. I think that twosome are heading from BFF to worst enemies. Nick has clearly realized that Santino is an overbearing asshole who cannot collaborate, and Santino at last realising that Nick isn't his total lackey. I'm firmly convinced that one of the reasons Santino wasn't kicked off was that the show didn't want to off Nick. Also, how damned STUPID is Santino? He's already reamed out Nina Garcia in a 90 minute "criminal" ragefit (as per Tim Gunn's Podcast), he angered Heidi, and now he tells Michael Kors that his designs are old and tells the head designer of Banana Republic that they are lower in scale than Michael Kors line? You damned IDIOT. As for the design. Jesus, Santino, get over the huge ass skirts already, and thank Nick for keeping you away from the whackity-wack trim. I didn't think the kimono jacket was without merit, but it was way too costumy. Nina Garcia was right. It needed to be edited down. People can't wear those huge stiff sleeves and work comfortably in an office. Oh, and if that isn't wanky enough, apparently Santino is having a shitfit online because Banana Republic had a kimono inspired dress in their Memoirs of a Geisha holiday collection. Here's a CLUE Santino, BR would have already have had their Geisha dress in line for production when they were filming Project Runway, so they weren't ripping off your sorry ass.
Nick was hilarious in the preview though. He's so excited to design an ice skating outfit. Hee.
And Diana and Marla... yeah, well, Marla has been a dead designer walking for weeks. No one could be surprised that they finally eliminated her.
