You know, over the years, I've learned that backstage politics behind shows have a tendency to be more interesting than the shows themselves. (You know, maybe that's why they're making Matthew Perry's new show about the goings on behind a tv show). Anyway, this surfaced today (and while I would usually say --pshaw! What are the chances of this being real? A friend of mine runs a website with old scripts of the show and also got an e-mail from one of the writers asking to be directed to scripts from a certain time period for research. That being the case, I give this missive some validity.). I giggle at the way that the writer tries to do the "don't blame us that it was shit." And just reading a description of the shit in question makes it perfectly understandable why they don't want to be blamed.

Anyway, more in the back stage debacle and the desperate efforts to stave off cancellation...
