Project Runway
Jul. 12th, 2006 10:27 pmTwo minutes after reading the TWOP thread on Project Runway, I remembered why I stopped going to TWOP. They completely suck any joy out of EVERYTHING!
In the "Casting Episode" I still heart Austin Scarlet. He's still a cutie-pie and he found the PERFECT niche for himself in designing pretty, pretty wedding gowns. It's what he was born to do.
As for tonight's competition:
I thought the guy who did the dress out of the sheet was going to be beaned for only using a sheet, but turns out the judges loved it. I mean, pretty... but it doesn't take a genius to use a sheet as fabric, does it? (And he looks like he's going to be a dick. Though perhaps not as big a dick as...)
The Rock-And-Roll guy is going to be an impossible snot. And I'm with Heidi Klum, I do not get the long in front/short in back dress thing. It just makes a woman's butt look big. And there WAS too much stuff going on.
Thought the 42 year old female architect was scary looking, but the coat was pretty and... she's a female architect. I may have to root for her just because of that.
And beauty pageant guy surprised me and turned in a design I sort of liked.
In the end I knew that annoying rock and roll guy wasn't going to be eliminated because he brings the asshole drama that reality shows love so I figured he was going to stick around and they'd auf the inoffensive but not wonderfully constructed sheer white dress/Stanford grad as well.
