Good News (and bad news)
Aug. 11th, 2006 10:42 pmToday was 90% good and 10% bad.
First, the good. It is almost the second anniversary of my walking out of my last firm. I can't believe how time has flown. Anyway, it was time for yearly reviews at the 'new' firm, and it turned out to be incredibly pleasant. New Boss (who, I suppose isn't so new anymore since it's now been two years) was all kinds of flattering, saying that I was a "powerhouse" and that if he could grade me from one to one hundred that I'd score one hundred. Then he gave me a raise. Now that is a good day at work!
It just proves yet again (as if I needed it) how utterly and completely right I was to decide, after 12 years, to leave my ex-firm and seek a new one. It's like night and day between them. So nice to be treated well by nice people. *hugs new bosses*
The 10% bad news? While eating a Jolly Rancher, I broke a molar. Looks like there's a trip to the dentist in my very near future.
