The Amazing Race
Ding dong, the douchebag is gone! I hated to root against the handicapped Sarah, but it was joyous to see her smugass not-quite boyfriend eliminated with her. What an ass.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Cho brothers are really too generous for their own good. While I'm happy that Dave and Mary are still in, there comes a point where the Chos have to run their own race and not pay attention to the other teams. That said, that was an amazing amount of generosity for reality show contestants.

Heroes Still an enjoyable comic book ride.
Knew Ando would head straight for Niki (like that would ever work out).
Hiro remains as excitable as ever.
I'm wondering whether Claire's 'father' isn't going to be Sylar after all. I'm sensing he's part of some 'deep conspiracy' but that he isn't necessarily Sylar. And I do think he cares about Claire (but I still suspect he'd throw her under a truck for whatever his agenda truly is. Still, it was quite the switcheroo to be rooting him on as he confronted Claire's would-be rapist.
And, another step toward the apocalypse.

Friday Night Lights Damn, how did they make me love these characters this much this fast?
Maaattt! Tonight's entire episode was one big "Oh, poor Matt." Poor Matt having to take care of his senile grandmother. Poor Matt having to contact his father in Iraq on the school's computer. Poor Matt with his unrequited love of Julie. Poor Matt and trying to hold onto the QB position when no one seems to really believe in him. And then there's the part where they beat the shit out of him. It makes you want to take the kid and just hug him. Plus, I must say the actor deserves some credit because he nicely underplayed all that pathos such that you're left thinking he's a good kid who isn't feeling excessively sorry for himself (thereby leaving the audience to feel sorry for him.)

Loved the Coach and Tami's fight. How totally real was that? Also enjoyed the end where he realized that Matt has a crush on Julie, with his saying, "I think I just told that kid to get our daughter in the back seat of a car." Heh. (Also enjoyed his apology of "I'm sorry that you're mad at me" with Tami totally calling him on it "That's not an apology." And his trying to apologize again then backtracking saying, "I'm not apologizing for that." How utterly a GUY he was during all of this.

I like Jason's roomate at rehab, and laughed at the roomate's reaction to Tyra.

And finally, Riggins and Lyla have chemistry, excellent chemistry.

Ratings wise: Heroes posted its highest demo numbers ever last night, and it had ratings as high as its premiere, so it's doing great business. Studio 60 lost audience, again and is currently only retaining 50% of Heroes' audience. On top of that S60 is now posting ratings that are roughly half of what they had for their premiere.. (Next week NBC is trying out Friday Night Lights in Studio 60s time slot). Both S60 and FNL have had bad ratings, but "Friday Night Lights" is receiving better critical reviews, costs $500,000 less per episode to produce, actually grew its audience a tiny it last week, and is owned by Universal (i.e. NBC) as opposed to S60 which is owned by Warner Brothers, so, at this point NBC seems to be favoring keeping FNL over S60 (though, it should be noted that Sorkin has an iron clad contract for 13 episodes to air). NBC has ordered new scripts for FNL for the back nine, but they haven't give the go-ahead to film the back nine as of yet. It will be interesting to see what FNL does in S60s time slot next Monday.

Finally, I haven't had a chance to search down an episode of Torchwood, yet. But I intend to!
