Okay, one thing is for sure. One does not jump the fence into the practice field at the University of Alabama. One does not even see through the fence of the practice field at The University of Alabama because it just isn't allowed (especially during game season which is when this would take place). And if, by some chance, one did jump the fence at The University of Alabama, the ear-splitting tirade from Coach Saban would require a quick trip to Druid City Hospital up the road because it would be just that terrifying.
I'm just sayin'
As for the episode (is it the last? Possibly the very last???):
I realize what they're doing with the Smash storyline about recruiting. And I laud them for it except for the fact that it's woefully inaccurate. If Smash was a top 100 or 150 player (which I suppose is what they're trying to say that he is) Smash's verbal commitment to TMU would not have deterred recruiters until he made a signed commitment... because that's what recruiters do. They try until signing day to get the top prospects to sign with them, even ones who are verbally committed. Heck, even if they have verbally committed most players go on recruiting trips to several schools because why pass up the opportunity to visit and have tickets to some big college games. It's just unlikely, that if Smash was that good, that other schools wouldn't still be after him until Signing Day, which would be in February, not during football season.
And speaking of recruiting signing day, it was this Wednesday and UofA was in USAToday and Sports Illustrated as having the best recruiting class in the country (which honestly, we need so a small woohoo on the real football front).
On FNL - Yes, Riggins, you have become a stalker. Poor Jason. ( I don't know that I buy that the baby is his, though. Still had do LOL when he said "that little kid could be the next Bill Gates or Peyton Manning. . . I have a feeling that Jason would prefer Peyton Manning. ) And Mama Smash was not gonna be okay with her baby boy not getting a college education, so I'm not surprised they fulfill the storyline from earlier in the year with Whitmore. It was fairly obvious when Mamasmash started in on the possibility of his losing a scholarship offer and that Whitmore would stay with him way back when the whole Whitmore offer first came up. (At least the kid would get a college education, which is what's really important). And heh, Peter Berg making a guest shot on his own produced show.
Outside of FNL, I'm dead tired.
Today was my day off, but it wasn't very 'off' since during Christmas my mom took me to task for having had the wood flooring for my home office sitting in the garage for the last three years. So, this week I've thrown out about a bazillion books (and yet somehow I still have two bazillion more. I swear the book cases have been like Mary Poppins's bag!), moved all the furniture out of the room (including all the book cases), removed the carpet, and painted the room a buttery color called "Summer Harvest".
Am tired now.
But there's at least a week's worth of work left to do in the room. It's astounding how much crap you can cram into a desk, a bookcase, and a closet over ten years. The whole house has been destroyed as all of the study's contents have been distributed through the rest of the house and filled the garage.
