shipperx: (Spuffy Blue)

Well, wish I could say I did something exciting while there was an outtage. Unfortunately, I spent most of the time laying on the sofa. I had been blaming feeling bad on the diet. Low blood sugar and all that. But even after upping carbs I still felt like crap. I finally had to admit, it's not diet. I'm sick. Just plain sick. This afternoon I finally gave up and called my sister (she's a doctor) to beg for antibiotics. Now, hopped up on Dayquil and antibiotics I'm feeling better than I have in nearly a week. Hopefully keeping the dosage up and I'll be back to myself again soon. I hate feeling so blah and headachy.

I did manage to (FINALLY!) finish the Giles/Buffy scene. A Spike/Xander scene, Wesley/Fred's phone message scene, and a Spike/Buffy cliffhanger scene and I will FINALLY be finished with this chapter. Of course I know good and well that the Spike/Buffy scene in the next chapter will be every bit as teeth pulling difficult as this chapter's Giles/Buffy scene. By the time I finish this stupid story no one will be left reading Spuffy fanfic. Then again, I always wrote fanfic for myself. As I think Ww1614 pointed out, I still have Spuffy issues I'm trying to work out.

When we really need antibiotics, they are a wonderful thing. I'm glad you're feeling better!

Thanks. Here's hoping I feel better tomorrow. Felt so bad today that I finally gave up and left early. But I have been feeling better tonight than I have in a while.

Post it to your LJ, and you'll at least have me as a reader (and, I suspect, many other people on your flist). Spuffy will never die!

*cough* Don't mean to get carried away there.

My brother, a most generous young man who works at a used book/CD/DVD store, has procured for me seasons one through six of Buffy on DVD. (That is his way of compensating me for babysitting his daughter twice a week. Needless to say, I have no complaints.) I can now watch the better Spuffy episodes whenever I wish, and ignore those episodes that are best left unmentioned. Anyway, my point is, as long as there are DVDs, you will have an audience for your fic.

After having admitted to my extreme slowness in terms of production I decided to stave off posting anything until I finish the whole thing. So it might be a while. :)

I will post to LJ whenever I'm finally done.

Thanks for the encouragement.

So sorry you've not been feeling well. As for the other, don't worry; people will be reading Spuffy long after you're tired of writing it. There are still new people coming into the fandom, and there probably will be until television goes 3-D.

And, hey! Spike-Xander scene, always fun to write and read. Think about that one for a while. :)

Antibiotics and Dayquil are wonderful things. I'm beginning to feel much better.

And Spike/Xander (at least in this case) consists mostly of their calling each other names before the Xan-man collapses into convulsions.

But -- yay! -- now I'm only one scene short of completing this chapter! Progress.

I still have Spuffy issues I'm trying to work out.

Don't we all, pet, don't we all.

Yeah, but at times it amazes me just how heated those issues still are.

In my own fanfic I've mostly come to terms with Buffy and can even manage to sympathize with Fanfic!Buffy (even if she never does like she's told). But if I ever slip back into discussing Season 6 or 7 I end up realizing that the H-A-T-E has not gone away.

I seem to be feeling a bit better, too, thanks to The Power Of Drugs. Throat isn't so swollen and sore feeling. Go us! We will recover!

Thank god for antibiotics and Dayquil. I'm actually feeling awake and aware again.

Yay! And I woke up today with no sore throat at all. The antibiotic's wreaking havoc with the rest of my system, but it's worth it not to be in pain amymore. (And anyway, it's only temporary.)
