It’s not all scotch for breakfast and repressed emotions for Mad Men actors! Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser are engaged, EW has confirmed. Bledel played Pete Campbell’s (Kartheiser) mistress on Mad Men last season. This is the first marriage for both. (Us Weekly originally reported the news.)

Bledel just signed on to be in the new Fox sitcom Friends & Family, co-starring Jason Ritter, about a young couple. Kartheiser can be seen in Mad Men which returns April 7.

Heh. When I saw this item this morning my first thought was "OMG Pete Campbell is marrying Rory!" I've stopped thinking of him as Connor (thank God) and now only see him as "that little weasely account executive."

Really, though, they make a very cute couple. I guess she'll have to drag him all over the pampas now.
