1. Your main fandom of the year?
LJ? I don't know. I would guess Game of Thrones or Once Upon a Time, though truthfully, I don't participate in the 'fandom' very much.
2. Your favourite film watched this year?
Absolutely no idea. I just randomly watched movies on cable most of the time. Some were good some weren't. Honestly, I just don't know.
3. Your favourite book read this year?
Again, I don't know. I read different sorts of things and so react to them in different ways. How do you compare a book on nutrition to a history book compared to wacky sci-fi? They don't compare. For info I'd say Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. For just brain-dead fun, 14 by Peter Clines.
4. Your favourite TV show of the year?
Again, no singular. I like different shows at different times (because that tends to be the way that they air. Faves in general? Game of Thrones, Sleepy Hollow, Once Upon A Time, Scandal
5. Your favourite online fandom community of the year?
LJ?
6. Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
Oh Sleepy Hollow, you hit so many kinks. Wonderful leading lady who is both down to earth and snarky. A handsome Brit who excels at chivalry and hissyfits. Shipping ahoy, and an apocalypse on the horizon. I am helpless to resist such cracked-out brain candy.
7. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Can't think of one right off the bat. I guess perhaps the cancellation of "Happy Endings" or "The B**** in Apartment 23"
Oh, I know. Bama losing to Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Bejeebus. You cannot understand unless you live here, but it's been insufferable (and I say that even as I intend to root for Auburn in the championship. But, I swear looking at those 0:01 bumperstickers that have been popping up (and co-worker's coffee mug with it). Ugh...
8. Your TV boyfriend of the year?
Ichabod Crane. I know! Tradition does not paint Ichabod Crane as TV Boyfriend material, but FOX did not care and cast him as such anyway. He's noble, prissy, pretty, prone to hissyfits, has a dose of manpain, lovely hair, kickin' boots, killer eye contact with Abbie who he treats so chivalrously and... all in all, he's a lovely combo. (Yes, he is).
9. Your TV girlfriend of the year?
Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hollow), and Arya and Brienne (Game of Thrones)
10. Your biggest squee moment of the year?
- The huge-ass reset on Once Upon a Time with the destruction of Storybrooke, with fairy tale characters returning to the Enchanted Forest and Emma and Henry heading to NYC. Way to do a winter hiatus end-point.
- Sleepy Hollow... something. I'm not going to pin it down, but it was just so fan-squee all over that it deserves a mention.
- I feel really weird putting "Red Wedding" on here because it's not exactly a squee, but it deserves some sort of mention.
11. The most missed of your old fandoms?
BtVS, no question. I mean it still sort of exists in some wounded state with the comics, but it just isn't the same. (Also miss the One Life to Live fandom to a lesser degree).
12. The fandom you haven’t tried yet, but want to?
Have enough experience with fandom to not seek them out. I seem to end up in them in spite of myself.
13. Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Sleepy Hollow season finale, Once coming back from Olympics hiatus, Downton Abby's return (I know, I know. But...well...just 'cause, okay?) and, of course, Game of Thrones returns for the last half of A Storm of Swords!
