-- So the Sleepy Hollow Season Finale was a cliffhanger-palooza. Was there someone they didn't leave imperiled in some way? And I must say,
Hurry back, show.
-- Watching the news this morning. You know what Chris Christie's 'tell' is that he really and truly IS a bully? It's the way he dishes it but the exact moment that he has to take it, he starts crying "meanies!" and playing the victim. "You just don't know how HARD this is on me." Dude, have you SEEN the mega shit-ton level of uncalled for bullcrap they've put Barack Obama through? Has he ever whined "You don't know how hard this is on me."? No. No, he hasn't. After the "shut up!" rants Christie likes to film of himself (seriously, he pays a dude to follow him around to catch those gem-like moments so he can watch them over and over again. Seriously. No... SERIOUSLY) it's way too late in the game for him to claim that he not bully material. If his own actions hadn't made that clear already, his insta-victim theatrics would still seal the deal.
-- I had read that it's possible for dogs to have sympathetic pregnancies (not really pregnant but act as though they are). I rather think that's what is going on with baby Zoe. Zoe has this little blue octopus toy that has huge eyes and is about the size a puppy of her breed. She lost it once and was so distressed that I bought her a second one (then found the original, as that is the way these things usually happen). Her hyper attachment to the toy is cyclical. I don't think she's bothered with it in months. Then the other day she found it again and has been tenderly carrying it just about everywhere with her, gingerly tucking it against pillows and laying with it. (It's totally adorable and gentle the way she nurtures it). Last night she systematically gathered both little blue octopus twins, placed them in my lap, then went off and returned with her little stuffed lamb, laid it against me too, and then curled up in my lap with them all and slept there for hours. It was like she had created an entire stuffed-toy litter for herself. Very sweet... and a little strange. She has a marked attachment to her blue babies and her lamb, but especially to her blue octopus babies.

Date: 2014-01-21 03:53 pm (UTC)I assumed that Jeremy had to figure somehow into the plot but I didn't see what they planned coming - tricky devils.
While I loved the cell phone ranting and the visit to the inaccurate re-inactors my true love totally went for : Many a mickle makes a muckle.
Which really is an old expression .

Date: 2014-01-21 10:44 pm (UTC)And I love that the show has now jumped head-on into complete apocalyptic masonic crazy. As long as they played it somewhat realistically (on a scale from huh to wtf), it seemed a bit too much, but now that they're fully immersed in it, I love it.

Date: 2014-01-22 07:22 pm (UTC)Sleepy hollow really is my surprise love this year. It's not that I'd say it's masterpiece, but I adore it. I love every bit, from the sister dynamic between Jenny and Abbey to Ichabod's phone and clothing issues. They finally gave me a show again with a bunch of truly likable people. I wish shield was half that engaging.

Date: 2014-01-23 08:39 pm (UTC)Bo only cares about toys if he can rip them to shreds (or better yet, induce us to help him rip them to shreds in tug-of-war.) He'd make a terrible dog parent. *g*
