Weekend Stuff

shipperxFirst home game of the season.
My heart aches for my Papa. He had not missed a single home game since 1992. He always looked forward to the season. It's not the same.
I love you, Papa. I miss you.
It was also insanely freaking HOT during the game with high humidity until it actually cracked a thunderstorm and the game was called (it was 4th quarter by then and the score was 41-0 with us about to score yet again). Made it home before 8pm (since it was a sucky early morning game), but was heat exhausted.
I slept through Doctor Who. Oops. (This is probably largely due to the 11am game making 'tailgating' a brunching thing that then involved Bloody Marys (which I loathe. 2 sips and I handed mine off to my brother-in-law.) Mimosas (which I like), and screwdrivers (because we ran out of champagne pretty much immediately but still had the orange juice and the Bloody Mary's vodka. ... And I did not drink nearly as much as this makes it sound. I swear). Oh well, DW is recorded so I'll get back to it some time.
Watched Outlander, though. It's moving slowly, but Jaime remains very, very pretty.
Have begun a new project in Mom's guest bedroom. I'll probably include pics at some point.
Watched The Monument's Men OnDemand. It was the George Clooney movie about the division tasked with searching down the art that Hitler was stealing in WWII. Not a great movie nor a bad one. I think the main problem was that the characters weren't developed, which is a shame because the movie had good actors. It just didn't ask them to do all that much.
Watched The Masters of Sex, the lead male character (Masters) is still a ginormous douche. And I"m not sure I buy the combo of dysfuctions in the patient du jour, at least not in conjunction with her sexual history. It seemed to be laboring the point about guilt leading to dysfunction as it applied to Masters... who is a massive douchenozzle.
