It is depressing, I know.

Plus, I suppose the only thing to really look forward to it out of this is an end to all those horrific (and offensive) political ads.

But, still, it's a civic duty. Even if "your side" might not be projected to 'win'...

I've literally avoided television for something like six weeks just because the ads from both sides were making me crazy. I've been reading a lot and just watching any programs I'm interested in by using VOD, which has commercials but they're just normal commercials.

Tomorrow will be the first day I'm back to watching.

The only bright side is the end to those godawful adds.

It's depressing, but not randomly infuriating like those ads have been.

LOL! That was such a great scene. I loved his comment about Washington passing out beer at the voting booth.

And I will be so glad when this election is over. I'm hoping my state surprises me and goes purple, but I guess we'll see.

I loved her pointing out that it took amendments and law suits. And I kept thinking "and they're still trying to suppress the hell out of the vote!!!"

I voted in the early-voting period.

Loved the Sleepy Hollow discussion of voting (with gentle history lesson about Colonial disenfranchisement of everybody but white male property-owners).

Bama does no early voting. Period. Then again, we also have insane stuff on the ballot going into the state constitution which is already the longest in the world (seriously, world record) because more and more stuff keeps being put in but nother is ever removed (seriously, nothing is ever removed. Nothing. All sorts of insane and/or archaic and/or racist and offensive laws remain in that constitution because literally nothing is ever removed.).

Between the awful, misleading, offensive television ads and the non stop phone calls, I've been sick of this election for freaking weeks and weeks. I wish there was a switch that informed candidates that we voted early.

I've been avoiding channels for weeks and muting the sound so, so, so very often. I swear ads get worse every election year and there's only so many times I can shout "F--- you" to a television screen.
