LOL! So how "accurate" are these things supposed to be? I took the longer test and got different results! Not sure that I buy that online quizzes are accurate. :)

Don't sweat the descriptions--they suck. I have a great book on Enneagram types. I'll look into whether you are more of a 5/6 or 8/9. :)

I'm just amused by all the non-conformist results that are coming up. I've never, ever pictured myself as a non-conformist. I'm a Republican for goodness sakes! :)

And since on most tests I come out evenly divided between introvert and extrovert I usually don't take that one seriously. I gather I have elements of both.

Re Extravert vs. Introvert - do you get exhausted by either working alone or working with people? When I'm writing or working by myself, I get exhausted. It was a big joke during my senior year of college that I would fall asleep while working on my honors thesis. My housemate would come knocking on my door saying, "Wendy, did you tip over again?" I am energized by social contact. :) Which is why I'm checking mail again, because I am about to fall asleep over grading papers. :)

Nah. I'm great at working alone. I can work with a team, but actually when working, I prefer to do the actual work alone and coordinate with a team.

Sadly, I admit, I can go days without interaction and really be just fine. I actually find I need time away from others to de-stress.

That said, I also tend to be a very talkative person when around people I'm familiar with and I enjoy that (hence why I tend to come out relatively even on the results) but I do think I skew more toward introvert than extrovert. I also have a problem approaching people I don't know well (unless it's something such as business or the like).
