shipperx: (Reno 911 - Basically I'm Insane)

Most of the summer really hasn't been all that bad -- relatively speaking -- but the last two days? Jeez! Please, rain... and rain in a way that will bring down the humidity (as opposed to the isolated afternoon flash floods when the heat and humidity become too much for mother nature to handle and we have the sudden deluge of rain for an hour)! Right now we're right at 60% humidity with a heat index of 105 (estimated to go up to 110 later this afternoon.) That's a sauna, isn't it? Heck, even the UV index is at 10 (and no breeze to speak of). I hope the heat breaks before the first football game (in two weeks), and for once I hope it's a night game (even if that means not making it home until 1am).

But at least you live in the South where it is supposed to be like that. I live in Wisconsin and it is has been exactly like that and that should not be.

You shouldn't have weeks with heat indexes at 100 degrees and weeks where the high is zero.

And Thursday? Tornados.

Sorry sweetie... I know just how you feel... that is normal Queensland summer weather--except you might want to bump that humidity up at least another 20%... and to think only yesterday I was gleefully thinking that Spring is just around the corner!

Sending lots of rain wishes your way.

I feel your pain! We've had heat indexes over 100 every day for at least ten days. I skipped my morning walk yesterday because it was 80 degrees at 6:00 a.m.
