So [livejournal.com profile] ladywenham left the spike fanfic fandom because some jerkwads got their panties in a twist because they didn't win Raison D'etre Awards? That's just not right. Guess what, a lot of people don't win. Sometimes other stories are more popular or they fit a popular niche. Get over it. No one deserves an explanation for why they didn't win. You didn't win. Are you twelve? (And if you are twelve... that's seriously not the way to behave). Hell, I haven't been nominated for a fanfic award since Season 5. That's life. It's a shame some people pestered [livejournal.com profile] ladywenham until she left. How sad.

On a different note -- damned Bit Torrents! I've been trying for a week now to download Ep 2 and Ep 3 of Rome. First, I got stuck on some hinky and strange torrent that downloaded more information than the actual size of the file and still claimed to only be 9% done. Then I wound up with a torrent that stuck on 99% but wouldn't go higher. It sucks! I want Ep 2 & 3!

And... ankle is still swollen. It's better. I can now walk without limping (much). I figured out though (with some thought) that the ankle I sprained is the same one where I tore the ligament in the ankle in high school, so I suppose I aggravated the old injury).

And to top everything else off, I've had an upset stomach all evening. *sigh* Is it the weekend yet?

Seems that things are blown out of proportion. Now I'm sad for everyone involved.

There's no point in it. There's really nothing they can do for it. Even when I had the way worse injury in high school... there's nothing they can do about it unless it's bad enough for surgery. And unless you're an athlete, it's really not bad enough for surgery. So you wrap it, ice it, pamper it. Scar tissue ties it all back together (eventually) and you go on your way.

And it probably wouldn't still be swollen if I hadn't been on it so much this weekend at the game, walking to the game, etc., working all Sunday standing on it on a concrete floor, or standing on it all day today while measuring the same abandonned school where I sprained it last week.

It's not all that bad... just still swollen where around the ankle bone.
