Parents Finally Made a Decision

Well, parents finally made a decision and put earnest money down on this house (unfurnished, of course)

ETA: Apparently the owner of the house is a total asshole that won't share any of the lawyers fees on the house, won't pay for the inspection and doesn't have a termite bond. Mom is putting him off. She still wants the house but he's put her somewhat off it. Heh. I told her to buy the house... and then shoot the guy a bird.

Just had to say something. My daughter lives near the mall in Hoover (Timberlake Subdivision) and used to work at the corner of 280 and 459. She is expecting a baby any minute. In January they are moving to Nashville so will be selling their house then. I remember looking at a lot of subdivisions and Inverness(sp?) was one of them cause it was close to her work but they fell in love with Timberlake. Good luck to your parents on their new home.

THen they must live relatively closely to me because the reason mom wants the house in Inverness is that I also live in Inverness (well, technically I live between Inverness and Grayston. Not actually IN Inverness).

Yeesh, out here it's illegal to sell a house unless you can certify it's termite-free and all past damage has been pointed out to the buyer. And I'd think that the problem would be a lot worse in your part fo the country!

Well there is a termite bond on the house, it's just the asshole isn't willing to pay to have the bond transferred to the new owner.
