Nothing new about my father. They're expected to come up this weekend. Mother called and said that the real estate agent had someone she wanted to look at their house (mother pushed her off a few weeks...which... why?!) Right now it's just a spot of terror and frustration that I try to push off to the side and not think about until necessary.

On a good news front... I'm in my Victoria's Secret pants! (That's actual pants not undies. These )

I had bought them months and months ago, but when they came they were too tight. Just enough too tight that I couldn't possibly wear them in front of anyone but close enough that I didn't send them back. They would provide motivation. Well, now they fit. (Of course I had ordered two pairs of pants and to show you how ridiculous sizes are, both pairs are the same cut, the same fabric, and the same size (supposedly). The khaki ones now fit. The gray ones are still too tight to wear in public. So much for uniform sizing.

My copy of Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars has still not arrived.

Anyway, have now finished my Carlene's salad (barbequed salmon on field greens with strawberries, orange slices, roasted pecans and garlic-honey-mustard dressing YUM!) and need to get back to work. I've probably bitched enough for today.

Ah. Terminator is on. The original. You know, it's so clear that the original was a low budget movie. Music is cheesy, and so much of it is clearly low budget production. (Plus it's so clearly 80s!) But, you know, the story still works for me. That and of course the ever romantic, cheesy, and I-unashamedly-love-it scene of "I came across time for you, Sarah."

That scene gets me every time. Sniffle. Poor Reese.

Sometimes a nice cheesy story trumps cheap production values. T1 is one of those instances.
