Every Now and Then Do You Scare Yourself?
Jan. 18th, 2007 09:16 pmTonight I found myself on a message board explaining how "Days of Our Lives" is funded. In the midst of the post, I began cringing as I realized that I know way, way too much about this. Clearly, I've kept up with soap gossip for too many years. *headesk*
Oh, and merely because I haven't seen it mentioned on my f-list, NBC finally put that godawful crap "Passions" out of business. (Spike would be saddened). The show has been officially cancelled. Also causing kerfuffling was the line in NBC's announcement about Passions' demise that made it clear that NBC intends to cancel "Days of Our Lives" in 2009 when its contract comes up for renewal. This led to deluded soap splooge with fans convincing themselves that "Days" would be picked up by another network. With Days financial situation, I seriously don't see that happening unless some network actually doesn't care about losing money. . .and this was the point where I cringed and realized that I know too much about the backstage stuff at Days.)
