Dear Mother Nature,

It may have escaped your notice, but it is now October, which is a month that is supposed to occur during the fall.  I don't want to sound unappreciative of the fact that that after extended bouts of temperatures in excess of 100, you finally turned down the thermostat just a bit.  It was a welcome change of pace.

However, if you look at your calendar you will notice that you forgot to switch from summer mode into the season that's supposed to precede winter.  FYI - temperatures in the mid to high ninties (It hit a hundred two days last week) do not belong in this part of the year.  Summer clothes seem too "summery", and fall clothes are simply too damn hot. People got blistered at the football game Saturday.  It would also be nice if my air conditioner wasn't required to work overtime.  And, just so you know, rain  would be a welcome addition annnnnyyyy time that you would like to provide it.

I realize you're busy with the cool temperatures in the Northwest, but it would be nice if the South was given weather that even somewhat vaguely resembled Indian Summer if not fall itself.

Sincerely,
Shipperx
