(And I was confused by the previews. Was it the preview for next week AND for three weeks from now. Or is it reruns until three weeks from now?)

Not sure about the preview. Have not really been up on the schedule and/or spoilers.

Not too much to say about this episode. Glad they showed Kate having a little pang over Sawyer, even if I want her a world away from him. Glad the previews show the tailies wanting to help Sawyer, even if Rambino doesn't care so much for the idea. And I know that I'm supposed to feel all bad for Micheal but honestly I wanted Eko(sp?) to beat his ass down. Does he continually have to go out of his way to state that the guy that saved his life is not his friend?? Asshat.

Issues. I know.

Logically, I feel like I should have sympathy for Michael. His backstory is especially crappy. But he's kind of a pain in the ass, anyway.

I like Echo (Eko?), though.

And, yeah, I like Echo(Eko) which is more than I can say for Ana Lucia at the moment.

I wanted Echo to drag Michael's sorry ass out of the jungle explaining that Michael was now risking not only his own but Jin's and his own life, and they aren't even sure that "The Others" have Walt. It's better to head back to the main camp and get help.

The previews for the next new episode said that one of the characters was going to disappear (die?). Well, Michael's the first one I'd vote off that island. He's about worn my last nerve what with the way he's always lashing out and blaming others for things that go wrong and giving way to emotional temper-tantrums. Young Walt is more mature than he is. I know he's had a rough past but that doesn't make his behavior go down any easier.

If it can't be Michael then I vote off the little Latina-Xena. Now we have another weapons savvy cracker-jack fighter woman from that plane? Maybe she'll turn out to be a US Army Sargent or other military type person. Well, I guess that every passenger on that flight was chosen for a purpose as yet unknown to them or to us, so maybe I shouldn't be too incredulous about her survival and fighting prowess. But if all the new characters she's the one I'm liking the least, and at this rate she may assume my Kennedy Seal of Disapproval.

You temptress, you ;-). I'm letting the temptation simmer while I decide whether to resist or surrender. (We'll see how long I last.) I'm taking your use of the term "cannon-fodder" as a clue that it isn't to be one of the original regulars (so I guess we're stuck with Michael for the foreseeable future), but I wonder if won't be one of the new ones from the back of the plane. Maybe I can still hope for Xena, but I'm afraid for Rose's husband - or maybe Rose herself. Joss would probably go for one of them - take down someone who's captured the audiences' good will and sympathy.

Thanks for that link. I can never resist a good spoiler it seems. Having them flash all the possible people who could die just made me anxious and I just had to know. It's strange how attached you can get to characters. I have a "no hit" list. If they kill off anyone on my "no hit" list I swear I'd stop watching.
