* Last night wasn't my favorite LOST. Lots of stuff happened, but it rather felt like it primarily served as staging, getting characters into place for the final big show-downs. Such episodes have their purpose so I'm not complaining. It's a necessary step in the process. Characters do need to be shuffled into place, but it's not the greatest of eps. That said Yay, Sun and Jin finally seeing each other. It's been a long, long time. Wish there had been more. Liked the Jack/Sawyer moment of Jack saying he was sorry about Juliet and Sawyer getting that "look" (I'm less enamoured of "Get off my boat", and Kate -- sheesh! Girl, you put up with more disrespect than you really should. She really needs to scream at some know-it-all men making decisions for her (but she does get credit for standing her ground re: Claire. On other notes, I don't think that Sayid killed Desmond. And I take Alt!Sun's recognition of Locke that she's had her near death experience and has some island memories as well.
* I have some thoughts about some of the BtVS/Protagonist Privilege discussions going on and of how they mix with gender politics, but I don't know that I'll work up the energy to post those thoughts. It's rather difficult to work up enough interest in the whole thing to say much. It's just so meh.
* Am reading The Ghost Writer by Robert Harris. It's been pretty fast-paced and interesting thus far.
* Watched Justified last night and there was some nice, wry funny under a fairly conventional plot. And -- damn! Timothy Olyphant can stand half-naked in front of a hotel room door whenever he darn wel pleases. Damn!
* Loved this bit on Colbert last night:
