Anyone else giggle every time the skin-thing in "End of the World" says, "The adherents of the repeated meme"?

Just me then.

I'd add:
The Invasion of Time
City of Death
The Brain of Morbeus
The Arc in Space (first one I ever saw, good place to start)
The Pyramids of Mars
The Seeds of Doom

Gee, I guess I really like the Tom Baker years, don't I?

No, not just you -- it was funny.

I didn't download the torrents for this series because I had no interest in Eccleston, even though over the years I've admired his other work. Now I know why people love him though -- he's very engaging (if still not very attractive -- Tennant is my Doctor).

However, I'm utterly surprised by my love for the very chav-ish, dumpy Rose. I'd only known about ex-pop tart Billie Piper through popbitch's past extremely unkind items on her, but I have to say I'm impressed both by her feisty, no-nonsense performance AND the fact the producers were willing to cast a less-than-perfect woman in a lead role. Jesus, the shot of her somewhat plumpish jean-clad bum on the viewing platform tonight would have sent American TV showrunners and producers screaming for digital erase artists -- but UK TV is not afraid of an average, slightly overweight female character. Sure, the stick-like Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley may be their reigning screen goddesses, but women on Brit TV are a different story. The whole thing is strangely refreshing.
