Puppy Park Day

shipperxSeriously, I don't know how the county where I live is still listed as being under "moderate drought". We had a wet spring, and, yes, June was exceedingly dry but for the last several weeks we've been having regular flash floods... like one a week.
A couple of weeks ago we had 7 inches of rain... in a week.
So anyway, I seized the opportunity between near-Biblical floods to take the puppy to the park (she's been couped up because nearly every evening when I come home, that's when it starts raining).
Pics of an hour or two that Zoe spent 'hunting squirrels' at Heardmont Park...
Five squirrels in this glen. Heroic bark chased off every one...
No squirrels, but the hunt is on...
This creek was 2ft lower last week.
There's a squirrel in that tree.
Can't see it? Neither could I.
But Zoe was convinced.
