Sometimes you wonder if there's going to be a government left by the end of the season (and heavy inference that someone British is eeeeeevil too!)



1) Secretary of Defense bit the dust (you knew he'd have to redeem himself for having disobeyed Jack last week).
2) Curtis is alive! Yay. (Stay alive, Curtis! Someone has to come back next season!)
3) Aaron is still MIA, and I think he's dead! *sniffle*
4) Audrey had a not nearly fatal injury (truly, killing her would be overkill.)
5) The head of CTU has caught on and is on the good side (as I predicted) but an untrustworthy weasel works for her.
6) Chloe is in danger (Run! Chloe, run!)
7) Mike Cheney-alike also has strong suspicions, but he's gonna confront the evil Prezzie. DUMB MOVE! If you die too, Mike Cheney-alike, who's gonna run the government? (Other than the Twin Peaks VP... which can I go into denial and say that Aaron is off protecting this man who will be needed to save the country?)
8) So I'm assuming it was evil Secret Service (the one guarding Martha) who did Aaron in, because as awful as Evil Prez is, can't see him with dirty hands.
9) Car with British diplomatic flags implies someone in the British government is also involved.
10) Shadow consortium headed by... the one handed doctor from ER?! Can another helicopter fall on him?
11) Geez. What kind of news morning is the 24's US going to wake up to? Not only was there a terrorist attack, nerve gas in a mall, near assassination of the First Lady, the Russian President and the Russian First Lady, there was the assisnation of the ex-President, and then Katie Couric greets the US with the news that the Secretary of Defense bit the dust overnight as well? Yikes!
12) And, again, The Prez was right (only about one thing). This would totally destroy the U.S., which brings me back to -- THE PRESIDENT MUST DIE!!!

I think the Sec of Defense could still be alive, and I thought that even before Peter Weller suggested it, but I have an awful feeling Aaron's dead. Poor First Lady. *sniff*

Yeah, I kept thinking it was possible too. If he wasn't knocked out he could have waited for the water to cover the car and swum out. But it seems unlikely. I half-way figured he was dead meat when hs screwed up last week. I figured his redemption for disobeying Jack would be death.

But Aaron! Can't he be protecting the Vice President or something? (I know. I agree. He's probably dead. *sniffle* Poor First Lady. I'd want a drink too --though I was screaming "no!" they could oh, so easily poison or drug her. She needs to be thinking of a way to escape because this is only a very brief reprieve.)

I don't want Aaron to be dead! And if he is, I don't want him killed off-screen -- far too ignominous an end for him. I want him to be alive so he and Martha can run off together.

OK, WTF happened to Wayne Palmer?? Is he off with Behrooz somewhere in 24 purgatory? Jack handed him off to Bill, and he's been MIA ever since. Is there some sort of "one black agent per episode" rule, and since Curtis was in this ep, Wayne couldn't be?

I'm hoping Heller isn't dead, like he managed to throw himself out of the car before it went over the cliff. But I know that's probably a pipe dream.

Yes, the only way out of this is for Pres. Logan to die, in some way they can spin it so his guilt isn't publicly known.

Hmm. So Henderson, Bierko and Audrey are all going to be at CTU.

THAT'S who that was! Thank you! I knew I knew him, but I couldn't place him, and it was bugging me.

*sniffle* I know. I want Martha and Aaron to run away together too!

And I'm hoping that Wayne helps Chloe next week. :)
