Is this a "Thank you for saving my job!" kiss?

Heh. Okay, I've always been a sucker for these two (and not in a slashy way. That would be fictional incest or something). Still, undoubtedly Stephen Nichols just saved Matthew Ashford's job. With Ashford's leading lady about to leave the show they were going to ship him off, only now with Stephen Nichols signed back on, they suddenly re-upped Ashford's contract. Yeah, the story will STILL suck, but it's always amused the hell out of me just how well Ashford and Nichols get along.

Date: 2006-04-29 04:03 am (UTC)Which is actually the hell of the whold "Steve and Kayla return" thing. I mean initial feeling is "yay, Steve and Kayla" which is then immediately followed by "They've destroyed every other couple on the show and the writing is just UNBELIEVABLY awful so... on, no, this is gonna SUCK!"
As good as it feels like it might be to see them again, the show is just so damn bad that it's sort of like bringing something back just to destroy it.
Worse... I'll no doubt tune in to watch.
