Well... they're lame. Again.

Although, I do admit to squeeing that Gregory Itzen (President Logan) and Jean Smart (First Lady Martha Logan) got Emmy nods. Those two are well deserved so -- yay. Overall, though there are a ton of WTF?! in the nominations.

For the love of god, why in the hell is Will and Grace still being nominated? Ditto West Wing. Martin Sheen, who barely appeared in the season, got a nomination for lead actor. Wha-huh? And King of Queens' lead guy got nominated over Jason Lee on My Name Is Earl. Seriously, WTF?! I'm shocked that Lost was totally snubbed. Now, personally, I liked Season 2. Still, I know that there were those who were disappointed. Still, it deserved a emmy nod.

No Deadwood and no Ian McShane (Martin Sheen is nominated, but Ian McShane is shafted?!)

And again why in the hell are Will and Grace actors still getting noms? And why in the hell do they have noms but Ethan Suplee -- Randy, My Name is Earl, isn't?

And, I know I'm probably one of eight people who really doesn't care that Kristin Bell wasn't nominated. Seriously, I thought she was better as a hooker on Deadwood.

And just to show that HBO and fame always wins out... it's rather sad to see that Elizabeth I from the HBO production was nominated even though it was so historically hinky and I don't think that Helen Mirren did half as good a job as Anne Marie Duff did with the role of Elizabeth... but I guess Bleak House got the PBS emmy nod."

All in all, Emmy's remain proof of their own lameness.

And I finally got a usb cable for my camera phone so pic spam of my yard. The flowers are in bloom.

The less said about the Emmys the better IMO. Is that a Crape Myrtle in your front yard?

Yeah. It's a dark pink crepe myrtle. I have a Natchez White one in the back and it grows bigger and faster, but the dark pink is also pretty. I'm trying to be patient for it to grow.

The only thing I was happy to see was that Emmy has FINALLY decided that Scrubs is worth nominating. Other than that... Yeah, Will & Grace??? SIGH. It always takes them a couple of years to get over their last big favorite. I read one article where they just didn't know who to nominate when Michael J Fox wasn't there anymore (and then later, Kelsey Grammer).

Ah, pretty green lawns and flowers. We won't see those for a while. *g*

Yeah, you get the feeling that half the time they're simply nominating known names (which is why movie actors who slum in TV get so many nominations).

And the pretty lawns are fading as we're in the midst of a drought. They haven't called for water restrictions yet, but we're in need of rain. Plenty of clouds, but no rain (and I really wish I could think of the song with those lyrics. It's been bugging me for two days).

While I was very happy to see Scrubs nominated, I couldn't believe My Name is Earl was almost completely passed by.

And nominating House by not Hugh Laurie? House really isn't that good of TV show, way too formulaic; but you watch because Hugh is so good. And the Emmys in their wisdom nomate the so-so show, instead of the amazing actor.

The noms are just... weird. It's like they've voted on by monkeys or something.

Your crape myrtle looks lovely. That's my all-time favorite flowering tree. It blooms its little heart out for three solid months. Who could ask for more?
You want to know why 'Will and Grace' is still getting nominations. I'd like to know why it EVER got any. The Emmys are beyond farcical. They might as well change their name to the People's Choice Awards and give up all pretense of actually honoring the best of anything.

Yeah, crepe myrtle's definitely bloom as much as they can. And I'm glad Will and Grace is finally dead (long past its time).

Huh. I hadn't heard about the nominations yet. All I can say for it is that at least they were consistantly lame; I mean, it seems as if they consistantly failed to recognize true excellence in favor of the stale mainstream. Reminds me of when Everybody Loves Raymond kept winning year after year.

And dude - Ian McShane should have been nominated for his jaw dropping portrayal of sheer agony. In fact, they should have given him a special one time Emmy for best pain evah!
