FNL - I love this show

Boy, this show works overtime making its characters lovable. Matt/Julie were all kinds of adorable with Matt trying so desperately to impress Julie with BMOC, but Landry was right that it was Matt singing to his grandmother that impressed Julie. Loved Matt's reaction to Landry saying it was Matt's only shot at Julie's "happy fun land" with "that's just wrong."

The Lilah/Tim thing is still heading towards angst city, but how awesome is the show for humanizing even Papa Garrity, showing that he loves his little girl no matter what. His concern and his comforting her over her humiliation with "you'll always be my girl" was such a good papa that it almost makes up for his being an overzealous booster.

I don't think a show has consistently made me cry so much since the days of China Beach.

Buddy Garrity was wonderful with his daughter tonight and yet he was still the Buddy we can't stand, with his subtle racist remarks and generally obnoxious behavior.

Tim is arousing all my protective instincts. The more people say he brought it on himself and deserves it, the more I want to protect and defend him.

Matt with Landry? hilarious. Matt with his grandmother? heartbreaking
