Back from Vacation

Just in case anyone noticed, I've been MIA for a week.

I just got back from a vacation in Sandestin. Weather was great. Watched many DVDs. Read the Dresden Files novels Death Masks and Blood Rites and found both of them to be better than Summer Knight (which took me forever to finish). Spent too much money buying shorts, shirts, and sunglasses at the Silver Sands mall. And I fiinally caught up on sleep (while having my fair share of margaritas to boot). All in all, a nice vacation.

Returned to work today and spent most of it lost, in the middle of nowhere, trying to find some school where we're adding 10 classrooms.

And, finally, checking my friend's list, there appears to be a kerfuffle going on that I know nothing about... and I've decided to keep it that way.

Oh -- and whee! -- Heroes and 24 season finales tonight!

Mmmmmm, love Sandestin. That part of the Gulf Coast is so beautiful. And margaritas always make everything better.

Keep reading the Dresden books. I just finished the last two, Dead Beat and White Night and they are both really good. Jim Butcher is getting better, really he is.

My sister has a house there so we tend to go a few times each summer. It's not on the beach but it's an easy bike ride or walk from the beach so it's nice.

And glad that the books are improving. I've enjoyed most of them but Fool Moon and Summer Knight dragged for me a bit.
