Kate episode and as with most Kate episodes, it wasn't the best that LOST has turned out this year. Sawyer was hot. Jack on the stand was a lying liar who lies (no doubt for the unexplained 'noble' reasons). And thus with have the triangle of neverending tribulation. (Look, I don't want anyone to end up with anyone. And... I totally think that Sawyer is going to die before this is all over. And, unfortunately, I think Jate will hook up... I just don't want it to happen). And, finally, Aaron was Kate's "son". So what happened to the promise that Claire would make it off the island?

Also, did they really think they were being suspenseful with the big Aaron reveal? I kept thinking it had to be something else, because the Aaron thing was too obvious.

Didn't they say something like 'only eight of us survived the crash, and two then died.' Maybe Claire makes it off the island to the fake 'discovery of the survivors' spot, but doesn't make it all the way to the rescue? But that's just a shot in the dark.

Same here. I think I got a concussion when Kate was with Claire and Aaron while saying she didn't think she'd be a good mother.

Could they have been any more obvious?

If Kate was arrested and tried very soon after leaving the island, which is likely, how did Aaron go from being an infant to being four or five years old? Also, where did Kate get the money for the big house and the live-in nanny?

Well, the money could be compensation from the airline. That's all I've got...

Sayid said he got a settlement from the airline - presumably the others did too.

Also, they've been hinting very strongly that there's some kind of time or spatial anomaly involved in trying to get off the island. Perhaps that's what the hatch was intended to control, and now that it's all blowed up, the electromagnetic anomaly is free to do...whatever it does.

It sounds to me like all the survivors must have agreed to the story about Kate saving their lives - if wouldn't do any good for Jack to commit perjury if the prosecution could just subpoena one of the others to contradict him. Though if Sayid is under cover and Hugo is in the sanitarium, I suppose that might not be practical. Still... it must have initially been a group lie.

I'm wondering if they've forgotten that Aaron is supposed to be a devil baby if Claire isn't the one to raise him.

Or maybe he's a devil baby because Kate raises him. Hee! That amuses me. I'll stick with that one.

(And I figured that it's the agreed upon lie, but he was still lying his ass off. :)
