Okay, yes. I'm behind. I didn't get around to downloading the first episode of the new season until last night. All in all, me likee! Like the new Doctor. Like the new companion. The trailer for the season looks cool. I will say one thing though (spoilers behind the cut) Given that in her experience the Doctor said that he'd be back "In five minutes" and it took twelve years and that when he would "be right back" that it took another two years, I can't help but believe that the girl jumping in the Tardis saying "You'll have me back by morning" does not in fact at this stage want to be married in morning, no matter how she rationalizes that a time machine would get her there. Thus far in her experience with time machines they have a way of missing their targe by years rather than just hours or days. Maybe she will want the wedding at a later date, but not now as even thinking "I can delay and still get to the church on time" is rationaling the fact that she may be deliberately sabotaging the wedding.

Ah, so you haven't seen episode 2 yet, then. She'll touch on that issue in that.

Yup, I agree :)

I like the new Doctor and companion a lot. Hopefully there'll be lots of goodness coming up.

What [livejournal.com profile] gamiila said.

Also, new season generally looks very shiny. And more upbeat! (I loved Ten's run, but the end was so relentlessly angsty, it's nice to bring back the fun.)

This is only the second time in the New Who history that they've touched on the Doctor's slippery grasp on human linear time (the last time he did this was getting Rose back 12 MONTHS, not 12 HOURS later). I've missed it.
