I can see more than one way out of this for poor Harry. Remember he had tea and doughnuts with certain one-eyed god and his new job might come with a get out of death free card too?
I kind of assume there's a way out what with being the Winter Knight, but it would make a bit of an ending if Butcher wishes.
I didn't get the impression that it was a "the end", but I do have a bit of paranoia of "what if they left it there?!"
Although I see that Butcher's releasing an anthology of shorts that will include Murphy's reaction 45 minutes after the end of "Changes"... but I kind of assume it's going to be her arriving to the aftermath of it.
I kind of assumed that it was Mab's way of coming to get him, but... how long are we going to have to wait to know what happened. (I know there's a Murphy short story due out in the fall, but that wouldn't necessarily have to give the answer).
And Martha Grimes let it be a cliffhanger for Richard Jury -- I suppose it could be here as well. However, Dresden brought in so many references to the earlier books I'm afraid this might be good-bye. I hope not, though.
Yeah. The last book I read (Connie Willis's "Blackout" also ended on a cliffhanger so it's a bit of a doublewhammy on me that the very next book that I read also has a cliff-hanger.
And I hope this wasn't the end. I wasn't actually prepared for that.
