I was reading through some of the suggested signs for John Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity".  Some are pretty good.

  • "Hug It Out!"

  • "If you are not with me then... I'll email you."

  • "Oh, stop it.  We have work to do."

  • "People Are Corporations Too!"

  • "Think"

  • "I'm Rational & I Vote!"

  • "'No' can't be the answer to everything!"

  • "I don't want my country back. I want my country forward"

  • "Turn off FOX and go outside. The world isn't as ugly as you think!"

  • "At least the war on the middle class is going well!"

  • "DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING"

  • "Sometimes the Tree of Liberty needs... a little water and sunlight"

  • "No hate, no fear, no greed."

  • "What, you've been in office almost 2 years and you haven't fixed everything yet?!"

  • "Power to the (sane) people"

  • "'Moderate' is not a pejorative."

  • "I wouldn't mind world peace"

  • "WARNING: Please vote responsibly"

  • "Got CIVICS?"

  • "What do we want? Moderation!  When do we want it? Relatively soon!"

I love all of those and want them on t-shirts, especially:

"I don't want my country back. I want my country forward"

YES.

'Down with this sort of Thing' and 'Careful Now' appeared at the Protest the Pope demo too.

Appropriately enough as they're snagged from Father Ted.

LMAO!!

I can't decide which is my favorite..."at least the war on the middle class is going really well." or "Turn off FOX and go outside, the world is not as ugly as you think!" (People need to stop watching the news.) or "what you've only been in office 2 years? And you haven't fixed anything yet!" (The media has made us so impatient, if we don't like it right now, we never will. )
