So, finally finished the overdue project this morning and shipped it off to the printers... then waved my flag of surrender and went home from work.  First sick day I've taken in a year, though, honestly, co-workers were urging me to go. 

So now I'm home in pj's.  Slept for an hour or so then made tea with with honey.

I'll call my sis after work (she's an M.D. though she's currently teaching high school chemistry) to see whether she thinks I need antibiotics.

Sis is calling in antibiotics and cough syrup. Said she had the same thing last week. (It's the perk of having a sis and brother-in-law who are doctors).

You remind me of me - last year, hacking my lungs out, while my co-workers told me - GO TO A DOCTOR!!!! NOW!!!! I finally did, was painless, told the doctor my symptoms, he prescribed cough syrup and antiboitics. He said if the cough didn't clear up in three days, to let him know. It did. That fast.

He also said if I had let it go much longer - I'd end up developing pneumonia.

Can you see a doctor? I hate them too...but it is so worth it.

It's weird. When I wake up in the mornings it's not so bad, but by five I've been feeling like death. And it lightens up again by about 9. Weird.
