Big Love - Still wonder why that promo piece immediately before the episode has the lead saying we root for the Henrickson family 'to win.'  Does that include Bill?  Because I really don't want Bill to win.  I want Bill to have a huge wake-up call that the difference between him and the compound prophets is no where near as big as he believes. He's every bit as controlling and self-centered.  He just allows his sister-wives (marginally) better outfits (nice white coat, though, Nikki).  Anyway, I enjoyed last night's ep.

Downton Abbey - still loving it.  It's soapy, but... there's much to be said for pure soapy fun.  Pure soapy costume drama fun!  Whee!  I may get into greater detail later.  But for now, just enjoying it.

Being Human - I've yet to find a download source that I like (*cough*megaupload*cough*).  Woe.

I keep wondering about Big Love too, but I kinda root for them to fall apart. And like you said for Bill to realize that he's still living patriarchal lie.

It's a japanese horror movie about a middle aged man who holds a fake audition for a movie to meet beautiful women. He then has an affair with one of the actresses who fits in particularly well with the traditional japanese female role (shy, timid, submissive), only she really is a serial killer. And in the end of the movie she sticks needles in his eyes and starts cutting of limbs with wire.

Loved the first episode of 'Downton Abbey'. I recorded the second and will watch tonight. Can't wait.

Haven't tried 'Big Love' yet.

I'd say that Downton is better. Big Love is in its final season (and went of the rails quite a bit last year) but I'm still interested!

I totally forgot that Big Love was on last night! I'll have to sit down with the DVR and catch up. That said, I fully expect Bill to end the series taking over Juniper Creek.

And Dowton Abbey is the reason Masterpiece Theater (excuse me, "Masterpiece") exists. My mom actually called me this morning to talk about the characters and their plots!

Another series has been ordered that I think will be in the UK in the fall (and thus hopefully downloadable) meaning it'll probably be next year before it airs again on PBS.
