Yeah. They were. Because you can tell that most people had taken shelter. The road they were looking at is the primary arterial road for Tuscaloosa, and the mall's parking lot was virtually empty and it's the only mall in Tuscaloosa and the tornado hit in the late afternoon.
And my nephew lives less than 8 blocks away... and never realized there was any damage at all (until my sister texted him) because power (naturally) went out in the area. And you heard the radio cut-out on the video.
Those people were crazy. Looking at the damage right there ate the corner (on TV) they were in extreme danger.
