So my mom called me the other day asking what team Tim Tebow played on because she heard he had a game this weekend...

Me: "Denver something.  Er... mom, YOU are going to watch a NFL football game?"

Mom: "Absolutely!"

(?!)

Me: "... it's just to root against Tim Tebow, isn't it."

Mom: "Absolutely!"

Aw man, he's really OTT with it. You know he wouldn't date in college? That he's openly a virgin?

And, actually, it probably would annoy me less if one of the morning JOX announcers didn't say (and he was being perfectly serious) that he actually believed that God was helping Tebow win games because it made Tebow such a great ambassador for Christianity.

Let me tell you, if I believed that God was more interested in Tebow winning a game (against other players who are most likely of the exact same religion even if less in your face about it) than say... oh I don't know, tsunamis, earth quakes, famine, etc. , then God would be a douche.

My father's watching the NFL games purely for Tebow. He's playing for the Denver Broncos...and no, he did not manage to win it for them Sunday night - Denver got killed by the New England Patriots. But hey, they beat the Green Bay Packers who hadn't lost all season.

He probably hasn't had years of watching the CBS SEC team broadcasters salivate over Tebow.

Bama still shows the highlight of sacking Tebow (to great applause) before each home game because showing the highlight where we made him cry would be rude >:)
