So, last night's HIMYM...

So, Barney will marry Robin.  (Reading TVGuide.com, the producers confirm that there will actually be a wedding, so it's not a simple fake-out.  What's weird is that I SO wanted Barney/Robin a few years ago.  But the way the show wrote Barney post Robin/Barney break up was urrgh!  And the way the wrote the Robin/Barney break-up was meh.  I did like the pregnancy scare this year, but they're going to have to work to make me really WANT this couple in a big way. That said, I'm so glad it was Robin.  I really don't care for Quinn.

And for God's sake, just let Ted meet The Mother, already!

I heard Ted drove off in to the sunset with Victoria?

If I can't have Ted/Robin, Ted/Victoria would be a nice alternative.

Yeah. The episode was Robin telling Ted that he says he wants commitment yet always chooses someone who either doesn't want it or who he is incompatible with in some way or who is in love with someone else. Ted mentions Victoria. Robin tells him to call her. He says the last time he saw Victoria she was getting engaged. She says it's been a while and things may have changed. So he calls Victoria and she agrees to meet him. She arrives in her wedding gown. She's flipping out about her wedding and thinks maybe they should take a chance on each other. I forgot what happened next but Ted concluded that she was flipping out and that he was taking her back to her wedding. However while speaking to her on the way to the wedding he changed his mind, he drove passed the church and he and Victoria were heading out of town.

Barney spent the episode in some elaborate proposal to Quinn. She said yes. They were happy. Robin tells Barney she's happy for him and Quinn.

. . . and flashforward to the wedding from the season premier. Ted goes in to see Barney's bride... and it's Robin. End of Episode.

Huh. They seem to be playing it as a question whether the wedding will happen while on TVGuide the producers basically say "Yeah, Robin and Barney are end game. Though we'll take our sweet time getting there."
