Thoughts on Angel "Destiny"

* What happened to Lex Luthor? (Okay so technically that's not AtS but I changed channels to the WB just as Smallville ended and it looked like Lex was gorked. What's up?
On to AtS --
* Yes, it IS slashy, isn't it?
* I don't like the blue eyeliner on Harm. The 80s are over.
* I still hate that they make a joke out of SPike killing Anne, but it didn't play as awful as I feared.
* Bwha! I did love Spike hugging Gunn
* They are playing Sparm like a lark... but I don't have to like it!
* It squicks me worse that the bride is alive listening to the vampire exploits.
* Did hate Spike tossing the guy out of his office.
* Fred isn't thrilled about Blondie-bear's nooner.
* I still hate Eve.
* Why is Eve doing Music Man?
* You know, Gunn running off to check with the white room is creepy.
* Hate, hate, HATE the Sparm sex scene. HATE IT! UGH! Disgusting in every way. Jeez! Why in the hell did they have to do it, and the staging made it worse. Ick! (And Harm wasn't exactly having a lot of fun. More like she was going into whatever problem it was with the bloody eye thing and Spike couldn't be bothered to notice. Thanks, Fury. Gross me out next time while you make Spike an ass).
* At least Spike punching her didn't look abusive.
* Calling it Pandora's Box? That can't be good.
* Not exactly worried about Harm, is he. Boy, Fury makes Spike a charmer.
* Don't trust Eve at all. She's manipulating all of it. I don't think anything she says is truthful. And BOY i he smirking when Spike confronts Angel about the prophecy.
* Was there a change in the prophecy that we had heard? It says that each will be nourished not one.

* I don't think any of the shanshu stuff is to be taken seriously. It's all a set up.
* Boy Angel really does assume everything is about him.

* Funny, I think Spike is up to THREE apocalypses. Angel, how many do YOU really have? One? Two?

* I swear, they're practically playing Spike as villain here. Seriously, all the 'tude. It's almost "evil Spike." I want some of my Bloody Awful Poet back! Gimme! I didn't want Season 4 Spike!!!

* Did like the whole "Cursed with a soul" versus "Fought for one."
* Ooh! Gunn hit Fred. I don't like that any better.

* See Spike's attitude is the evil one. It's the one that Angelus is spouted in the past -- want. take. have. And now it's Spike saying it. :(
* Angel saying his selling out is more complicated. Just why DOES Spike think Angel sold out? Just 'cause? Does Angel give any reason for why he sold out to W&H?
* Hate Angel's line about Buffy never loving Spike. Fury, just had Angel say everything HE'S been saying for years. Spike is "less" than Angel. Gah! Then he makes Spike an ass with the "put it to Buffy" line.
* Well, I still like Fred, anyway.
* Angel was going to stake Spike?
* Couldn't even let Spike just not kill Angel because of Spike. It had to be about Buffy.
* God, they even made Spike FLIPPANT about "bit of both" and drinking the cup.
* You know, if they hadn't added the Lindsay ending, this would have been rather lame.
* The Question for another day (well, Spike won this time it means Angel wins next time.)

* See, Angel's having doubts, ergo he IS the one. This was all just one mindf***. Spike is a pawn.
* Oh, Eve and Lindsay TOTALLY set this up. And the cup of torment was a complete fraud.
* She clearly isn't working with the SP on this.
* It's not "they didn't kill each other." It's "Spike didn't kill Angel."
...I won't decide how I feel about this episode yet. I know I'm on the bitterista end of those who still watch ME. I'll need to reassess the ep later for a slightly more objective view.
However, one thing hasn't changed between reading the original spoilers and seeing the ep -- I still think Spike is going to be screwed over.
